My Dad

My dad passed away yesterday morning. It's been really hard. I will miss my dad a lot! This picture is how I will remember him. I will always be grateful for his strong shoulders - and remember the times I used to sit way up there. And his humor. And his grumbling when we would tease him. I remember the days when he would help me with my math homework and I was so grateful he was so smart! I will also remember him taking care of Shauna sometimes when she was little. He loved my girls and he loved my grandkids! He was a loving, caring, dad and grandpa and great-grandpa to me. He was also a son, husband, brother and uncle to others. I hope he is enjoying his reunion in heaven with the others of his family that passed on before.

Here is the family on our yearly trek to the BYU game on or around Steve's birthday. The cougars lost (boo!), but we had a great time and we got to stay with and see the Brown's (my cousin Sheralyn's family). It was particularly nice for me to see Sheralyn's son bless the sacrament on Sunday. It's not very often I have that experience with a priesthood holder in my family!

The Kite Who Eats People!

When we were in Pocatello for the 4th of July, we had a windy day and decided to go fly a kite. As you can see, the kite had it out for Jill! Adam was at the controls, but I'm sure that didn't have anything to do with it.

As you can see, we all had a great time and Ethan had a blast eating his cake! Even Adam got his face smashed in the cake!

Ode to my Girls!

Just had to say what great kids I have! They are both wonderful human beings with brains, looks, and talent galore! They make good choices and are strong in the gospel. Shauna is a GREAT mom and Jill is a great student and so trustworthy! They have been a wonderful blessing to me and such a great support to me. Thanks girls! I know I don't say it enough, but I really do appreciate you!

My Birthday Weekend in Pocatello!

We went to Pocatello for the weekend right before my birthday. I had a meeting in Idaho Falls on Friday. On Friday night, we went to Lowe's to buy a new dishwasher. On Saturday, we watched Halle play T-ball and then went out to eat. On Sunday, we went to Stake Conference and had cake and ice cream for my birthday. Here are the pictures: Ethan loves to stand at the storm door and look outside. Cindy, my dog, likes to look outside too! Halle got a princess nightgown and a magic wand. She fell asleep with the magic wand in her hand. Mom - notice she is sleeping on the couch potato pillow you gave her!

This was our fun, baseball and swing day! We had so much fun, Halle couldn't keep her eyes open watching her movie that night!
